Drew Flaherty

Drew FlahertyAn engrossing showcase of photo-illustrated design, wispy graphics, explosive compostions and the random skull, graffiti tag, or rainbow next to a beautiful model. Sure it's trendy, and nothing you haven't really seen before... or is it? On closer inspection, the work of Drew Flaherty goes an extra step, breathing in more detail into each inch of design, and producing a rich tapestry of different styles that together evoke quite a beautiful, mystical quality. Who needs substance when you can have visual satisfaction and a lingering emotion that makes you think, je ne sais quoi? There are nuggets in this mountain of multidiscipliary work... you just have to dig deeper.... More

E'motive Project

E'motive ProjectHailing "Hola" from Spain, E'motive Project is a professional multidisciplinary studio based in CŠdiz. Mixing different creative fields as art and illustration projects, animation and graphic design for print, the E'motive personell create a diverse range of work that spans across many different styles... but usually has an edgy, urban and decidedly upbeat appeal. Lots of fun work in a strong portfolio, we especially liked their exhibit onoplastica - an illustrated interpretation of Christian iconography.... More

EAMO

EAMOEAMO is a fantastic Australian illustrator whose work has a certain funky realism that we find very attractive. In this new online 'folio, this Aussie art child shows us more than one style—ranging from cartoonish kids to saucy sex bombs with haunting dark, mysterious eyes. Appropriately, these 20 pages of illustrations are all presented on the side of an illustrated milk carton—which in the U.S.A. had at one time been a space reserved for showing pictures of missing children.... Eduardo Bertone

Eduardo BertoneI once knew a graffiti artist who never stopped drawing in his black book until every inch of white space was covered. Eduardo's rough and doodly sketches, scenes, paintings and art kind of remind me of that kind of obsessiveness. It's driven by a desire to create and express and have fun and make the most of every experience. And the results are the fantastic layered mixed media pieces Eduardo brings to life. But now here's the kicker... Unique as Eduardo's work is... There's a twin brother out there with a similar style producing just as much work, and his name is Rafael Bertone (http://www.rafabertone.com).... More

Evan Hecox

Evan HecoxPrimarily an exhibition artist, Evan Hecox has a smallish portfolio, but the pieces that form his online presence are tight. This guy knows what he's doing. The messages are rich and well balanced, although itís sometimes difficult to know exactly what Mr. Hecox is trying to sell. Frankly, we find this a refreshing and novel situation in the current land of graphic art.... More

Feliz

FelizThe playful illustration site of Graham Cross, a London-based designer working in web, motion and illustration. Falling somewhere between crayon doodles and cut-out stencil art, Feliz has the kind of scruffy feel you'd expect from art made on and with cardboard paper. It's quite fun! Alas, it doesn't end at there... Feliz is just his personal site, and is a polar opposite of the commercial work he does that can be seen at Graham R Cross.... More

Hello Color

Hello ColorA great name for this indy illustrator's portfolio pages, Hello Color provides just what you'd expect... An explosion of bright colorful forms and designs saturated with only the richest blends of eye-popping color. For many, full color is not always an easy medium to achieve solid results in, but this designer soaks it in and spits it out in visually absorbing, and tasteful ways, often combining 3D type and photos with additions that really work, for us. Hello!... More

Hydrafuse

"Albums and shirts. Websites and rock. That pretty much sums up Hydrafuse." That's what they say, but we think they're underselling themselves. And by "they," we mean Gregg Bernstein, who founded the freelance company in 1999, and since then has found himself creating album covers, website, t-shirts, and other graphic designs for some pretty swell bands. If you listen to Weezer or drink Mountain Dew, you're probably familiar with his work. You just didn't know it till now.... More
