Zenvironments

Zenvironments - Zach Johnsen"Easy on the fingers, heavy on the eyes" characterizes the fine art work of illustrator and designer Zach Johnsen. Dealing with concepts of life, death and beauty, and sometimes just random inspirations, Zach's natural talent and love of the unusual breathes life into an eclectic genre of illustration. We love the blending of watercolors and inks to form his tattoo-and-urban-inspired subjects; skulls, thieves, women, knives and snakes. He also art directs a very beautiful t-shirt line called Tank Theory, which has been featured in magazines like Vice – among other purveyors of cool.... More

Work for Food

Work for FoodWork for Food is the very rich graphic portfolio of Art Director Diego Zambrano—a talented illustrator who is focused on designing experiences and creating emotional relationships with products. It's an interesting little something he calls "advertainment"... meant to sell dreams, not products. Well, looking at this full range of illustrative design work, we can only dream of being this gifted. Amazing stuff.... More

The Rock Collection

The Rock CollectionYou know you're a talented graphic designer when you create a 3-page website, plaster in a bunch of huge jpeg samples of your work, and don't even bother to put in a back button. It's like... who needs a website with navigation when the work speaks for itself... and your browser has a 'back' button embedded in it anyway? Well, this is one of those special occasions where it truly doesn't matter, because in the personal portfolio of Philippe Richardson, the illustration work and stills of broadcast commercials (some with Quicktime movies) will blow you away, and you won't even notice you're sitting at your desk anymore, much less which direction you want to navigate (besides simply scrolling up and down... over and over and over again).... The Brain Box

The Brain BoxIllustrators live in a fantasy world. And THANK GOD, because without a little fantasy (mixed in with a heaping of tragedy), this world would have no humor... So. Is there a lesson to be learned? Well, don't take yourself too seriously, and express yourself fully and as often as possible. Or just follow the lead of amazing illustrator and designer Mauro Gatti.... More

Telegramme studio

Telegramme studioTelegramme is a pretty cool little design and illustration partnership specialising in silk screen printing of posters and patterns. Initially a collaboration working via the postal service, Telegramme snowballed in to a fully fuctional studio thanks to a mutual love of music, art and the receiving of post. We really liked their gritty mixed up illustration style that balances old vintage images with new computer design techniques - which coalesces nicely in their afore-mentioned poster and pattern designs. Cool stuff.... More

studio aka

studio akaConstruction paper cutouts and ‘primitive’ pen marks run rampant at the studio aka site. Some nice illustrations, but after perusing the sample pages, we have to say, um, "been there, done that." Sure, they've won awards, but if the London based production company doesn’t inject a little variety (and reach out from the UK), their days may be numbered. That being said, they can probably use the ‘singular style’ style for identity recognition, aka "branding."... More

Stephen Ledwidge IllustrationStephen is an Irish illustrator currently living and working in London. Stella Im Hultberg

Stella Im HultbergPersonally, illustration doesn't get sexier than some of Stella's instantly arousing lush ink and oil paintings on tea-stained paper -- and it won't matter if you are male or female. Her pouty lipped little ladies in leggings almost breath with a sort of sultry passion and curiosity that simply leave us wanting more. And there are certainly several to see in the same style... but who could want for less of something so lovely? Not us... definitely not us!... More

Spike Press

Spike PressBehold the posters of John Solimine, a man who takes his illustration not-so seriously. It's true! His rock and gig concert posters are full of fun characters, animals and hand-drawn fonts. We really liked how each poster has a specific focus on illustration, a variety of interesting backgrounds, and an unique graphic identity—a mix of old-time typography and quirky characters blending to create a vintage sensibility.... Si Scott Design

Si Scott DesignIf you like dripping, swirling, wet, flourished typographic illustration, there is only one person to see – and that person is Si Scott, typographic illustrator extraordinaire. Sure, he's a one trick typographer with a single swirly style, but oh how nice it is! Wet, wilting, ornamental touches adorn his typographical designs with a signature style that takes ordinary graffiti drips to the next level of loveliness.... More

Samuel Luchini

Samuel LuchiniThis portfolio site is a simple one page scroller... a style common among designers and illustrators who let their work do the talking. And these projects speak loudly! Products of team work with AD Fred Siqueira, under the CD of Ricardo Figueira, this Brazilian illustrator and art director has pumped out some fantasticly bold and richly detailed work for big name clients – but mainly focused on work for Coca-Cola. Great eye-candy illustration and design.... More
