WC Fonts – founded in 2005 by Christophe Féray and based in France – is a small typographer's paradise consisting of some great professional font designs, and features a large freeware fonts collection in OpenType format. The typefaces are often conventional in terms of legibility—yet still funky and modern, experimenting with concepts that seek new visual, typographic and linguistic possibilities. Recently re-launched, Shift Font Library from Joshua Distler presents eight high-quality, re-released Shift classics in Macintosh Type 1 format. This library of pixel fonts are not free, but they do have a comprehensive 'Pak' of bitmapped fonts, even including an ambitious Japanese pixel font. They sell for between $19 for single version up to $99 for all 23. The nice part about these sets is they include punctuation and extra characters, so you can have all your little pixels and dots in order.... More
