This site is so simple it bothers me; essentially built in two colors with one highlight color, 800*600 is the site for an upcoming design annual being released from Hungary. Although the layered graphics appear like something one would imagine designed for China's coming Olympics bid, if it is any hint towards the design style being used in the book, then it should be well worth acquiring.... The Brooklyn Academy of Music is a performance venue for dramatic stage shows in Brooklyn, NYC. BAM offers a very hip and modern feeling site which elegantly showcases their shows and offerings. BAM is also the home of BAM Rose Cinemas - Brooklyn's only movie house dedicated to first-run independent and foreign film and repertory programming. The use of tonal greys and horizontal banding when mixed with big, clean san-serif type and sparesly colored imagery makes for finely branded and modern feel, appealing to a newer and younger audience range of theater-goers.... Is an exhibition 'module' promoting a larger exhibition at the Royal College of Art (from May 1-21, 1998). This wonder is called 'the Campaign Against Living Miserably' and is about artists creating their own personal utopias. The design mixes naively large flat areas of colour with newspaper like halftone images to suggest campaigning and protest. The idea was to create a self-contained site to promote the exhibition which could also be read as an obsessive manifesto (and hopefully artwork) in itself. The design sometimes overshadows the content which is bizarre, humourous and often twisted. No longer online since this posting. Designed by the Santa Monica Design Team - part of the BigGun Project. The ultra-clean site of the Designmuseum in London, England is available in either Flash or Regular HTML. Designmuseum Flash features a great teaser gallery of pieces in their collection and on show through their Gallery3(cubed). Some of the best parts of the site, aside from the great industrial designs showcased within, are the miniture loading animations between pages.
